Description
A Second Cru Classé from Margaux with a velvety and delicate touch
The property
This vineyard, known as "Hostein" in the 18th century, was already one of the most prestigious labels of the Médoc at that time. Henri Lurton has been at the helm of the Château Brane-Cantenac since 1992, passionately continuing the viticultural adventure started by his ancestors, blending tradition with modern infrastructure designed to enhance the identity of the wines from this exceptional terroir of the Margaux appellation.
The vineyard
The Château de Brane-Cantenac is a Margaux wine from a vineyard whose location within the Brane plateau terroir contributes to the elegant and aromatic signature of the property's wines. The Grand Vin is produced from old vine plots located on the 4th terrace with the most clayey gravels, within a historic terroir of about 45 hectares.
Vinification and aging
Vinification in wooden vats before aging for 18 months in barrels (70% of which are new).
Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (53%), merlot (40%) and cabernet franc (7%).

Nose
With a beautiful aromatic intensity, the nose combines fragrances of blackcurrant and blackberry with touches of white pepper and red fruits.
