Discover the remarkable collaboration between two prestigious Burgundian winemakers who ventured south to create something truly special. Domaine Anne Gros & Jean-Paul Tollot represents a unique marriage of Burgundian precision with Mediterranean soul.
Anne Gros, celebrated for her Grand Cru bottlings from Vosne-Romanee (Richebourg, Échezeaux, and Clos Vougeot), and Jean-Paul Tollot, from the esteemed Domaine Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune, bring their combined Burgundian excellence to this southern endeavor. This visionary partnership began in 2008 when these two celebrated vignerons from Côte de Nuits acquired 14 hectares of exceptional old vineyards in Minervois, Languedoc. With vines averaging 40-80 years old, planted on limestone-clay soils at elevations up to 300 meters, they found the perfect canvas for their Burgundian sensibilities.
What makes these wines extraordinary is how they combine Languedoc's sun-drenched intensity with the finesse and elegance that Anne Gros and Jean-Paul Tollot mastered in their respective Burgundy estates. Their Mediterranean reds showcase remarkable freshness, purity of fruit, and terroir transparency that stands apart from typical Languedoc offerings.
The portfolio includes several distinctive cuvées, each reflecting a specific vineyard site:
La 50/50: A harmonious blend that perfectly balances the contributions of both winemakers
Les Fontanilles: A Grenache-dominated blend delivering silky textures and red fruit purity
Les Combettes: A site-specific cuvée showcasing depth, structure and Mediterranean spice notes
Each bottle represents a brilliant fusion of Burgundian winemaking philosophy with the generous character of Languedoc terroir.
