Description
"An awakening of the senses. The first scents of red berries evolve and elegantly reveal more sensuous aromas, such as meringue and dragée almonds. On the palate, a symphony of red fruits is underlined by dark spices, cardamom, vanilla, and caramel." - Bertrand Lhôpital, the Cellar Master of Telmont
Produced exclusively with black-skinned grape varieties, Blanc de Noirs champagnes comprise Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. The 2014 harvest in Champagne was fruitful indeed and the Telmont champagne house have given rise to a powerful, crisp and opulent Blanc de Noirs Extra-Brut champagne.
Comprising grapes from Damey, Ay, Cumières, Chaumuzy, Boursault, Meurville and more, this champagne comprises 39% Pinot Meunier and 61% Pinot Noir. The nose exudes aromas of red berries, cherries and meringue and lingering notes of red fruits, cardamom and vanilla unfurl on the palate.
Half of the juice is vinified in oak casks and the rest is vinified in stainless steel vats. Blanc de Noirs 2014 was bottled in 2015 and has aged in the Telmont cellars for 6 years before being released. We recommend pairing this champagne with charcuterie, mushrooms and dishes coated in a creamy sauce. Serve this champagne between 8 and 10°C and treat yourself to a unique tasting experience.
