A superb Pauillac wine striking a perfect balance between delicacy, elegance and power

The estate

The Château Lynch-Moussas became, in the 18th century, like the Château Lynch-Bages, the property of the renowned Lynch family of Irish origin. The 62-hectare vineyard is planted with 75% cabernet sauvignon and 25% merlot. The Castéja family, owners in Pauillac since the 16th century, acquired this château at the beginning of the 20th century.

The vintage

Following the excellent 2018 and 2019 vintages, the 2020 vintage continues this fine lineage with roundness, richness and elegance. The year begins with a dry and mild winter, leading to an early bud break. The spring season benefits from the same climatic conditions, but the first half of May is rather cool and rainy. The veraison begins in early July. During the two summer months, the vineyard of Château Lynch-Moussas remains without water and under the influence of very high temperatures. As in all great vintages, the harvest took place entirely in September.
