Description
Johnnie Walker releases an intense and woody whisky
The estate
Founded in 1820 by John Walker in Kilmarnock in rural Scotland, Johnnie Walker today has a unique and exceptional know-how. Inspired by the techniques used to make tea, blending is based on the combination of malts of varying character, but also on the skills of Master Blender Jim Beveridge, the House's 5th Master Blender, recognised as one of the best by his peers.
To create a whisky with a unique, richer and more balanced taste, Johnnie Walker has the largest reserve of whiskies in Scotland: more than 10 million casks spread across 28 ancestral distilleries.
The whisky
Blue Label is a Blended Scotch whisky made from a unique and extremely selective blend. Indeed, only one cask from the House's vast collection of distilleries is sufficiently rare and of sufficiently high quality to be used in the composition of Blue Label. The majority of the malts used for this blend have been matured in casks for over 45 years. In addition, some of the malts are from legendary distilleries that are no longer in operation and whose few remaining casks are among the most sought-after in the world.
This exceptional whisky is presented in a magnificent box with a luxury design and two glasses for tasting.
