An exceptional white wine combining richness and vivacity

The property

Founded in 1811 by Louis-Gaspard d'Estournel, the Château Cos d'Estournel is an emblematic estate of Bordeaux, located in Saint-Estèphe. Extending over 225 acres, the vineyard rests on a terroir of gravel and limestone clay, favoring a planting of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Michel Reybier, owner since 2000, has modernized the facilities, notably with an innovative gravity-fed cellar, testifying to the commitment to excellence of this second grand cru classé.

The vineyard

The plots dedicated to Pagodes de Cos Blanc are located in the north of Médoc, on the hill of Saint-Estèphe, near the Gironde estuary. This privileged location offers a cool climate and natural ventilation thanks to the proximity of the ocean, ideal conditions for the production of great Dry White Bordeaux wines. The vines, the oldest of which are 39 years old, are cultivated according to a rigorous parcel approach, with mechanical soil work and reasoned agriculture.

Blend

Sémillon (61%) and sauvignon blanc (39%).
