The estate
On the right bank of Bordeaux, where most of estates do not exceed 10 hectares, Troplong Mondot boasts one of the largest estates in the Saint-Emilion appellation. Founded in 1700, the Premier Grand Cru Classe Chateau Troplong Mondot produces one of the most beloved wines of Saint-Emilion.
The vineyard
Planted at an altitude of 110 meters, the Chateau Troplong Mondot vineyard covers 43 hectares in one piece. The vineyard is entirely managed by sustainable viticulture. The vines, aged 30 years on average, are planted in clay-limestone soils typical of the Saint-Emilion appellation.
The blend
The Chateau Troplong Mondot 2020 is made from a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Sauvignon (13%) and Cabernet Franc (2%).
