Description
Six vintages of an iconic Pessac-Léognan terroir gathered in a rare and elegant box
The estate
The Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion, a large property in Pessac-Léognan is located on the left bank of Bordeaux. Founded in the 16th century, this vineyard now delivers an expression of its terroir that is the work of a visionary owner and craftsmen with the air of goldsmiths. Acquired in 2010 by the Pichet real estate group, Chateau Les Carmes-Haut-Brion is today one of the most distinguished crus of the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
The vineyard
Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion is a Pessac-Leognan wine from a 30.75 hectare vineyard, of which 7.60 hectares are dedicated to the Grand Vin. The nearly 40-year-old vines are planted on Mindel gravel on a clay-limestone base.

Characteristics and tasting advice for Elements VI from Carmes Haut-Brion
Tasting
This box brings together six singular expressions of a great Pessac-Léognan terroir. If the 2013 vintage harmoniously mixes exotic notes with smoky fragrances, 2014 seduces with its generosity and rare roundness. The precision and aromatic richness of 2015 precedes a 2016 vintage that is mineral, precise and exudes delicious aromas of violet.
The 2017 vintage seduces with its balance, its juicy expression and its suave salinity. Lively and appetizing, the 2018 vintage combines a fruity structure (cherry), concentration and freshness.
