Description

The summit of perfect harmony of a Saint-Julien

Few wines can reproduce the feat of reaching such peaks of excellence with consistency and renewed elegance vintage after vintage. Often referred to as the top Second Grands Crus Classes, Chateau Leoville Las Cases is one of those wines.

From a challenging vintage, the prestigious and symbolic Saint-Julien estate has triumphed with its wine hailed as of the greatest Bordeaux from the 2017 vintage.

As the estate’s first wine, the Chateau Leoville Las Cases 2017 is the reward for all the effort and care the technical team put in from the vineyard to the cellar. The blend expresses the exceptional terroir. It illustrates the magnificent power and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon (79%), the suppleness of Merlot (10%), and the elegance and finesse of Cabernet Franc (11%).

The dazzling Chateau Leoville Las Cases 2017 reveals intensely pure cassis and blackberry aromas. Its personality comes through further with aeration to give graphite notes. The attack on the palate is an alliance of power and elegance that delivers silky, ripe tannins. The concentrated flavors stretch to the end to give a complex, refined finish. This is a Saint-Julien that surpasses all expectations of this vintage.
