The producer

Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey, a Sauternes Premier Cru Classe in 1855, is one of the most prestigious names in the emblematic sweet wine appellation and is located in the south of the Bordeaux region.

The vineyard

Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey has an exceptional terroir with a 30-hectare vineyard exclusively used to produce its Sauternes Premier Cru Classe.

The wine

Expressing great purity, Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey's 2015 vintage is enhanced due to its elegant bottle made by the illustrious Lalique factory.

This unique bottle, whose shape is reminiscent of the emblematic grille from the famous Bugatti racing car, built in Alsace not far from the Lalique factory, can be used as a decanter.

This LALIQUE and Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey Serie Speciale 2015 decanter is presented in a refined case and the design is based on the engraving "Femme et Raisins", created by Rene Lalique in 1928.

The blend

Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2015, the last vintage vinified by the late Denis Dubourdieu, a famous oenologist and researcher, is a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle.

The tasting

Color

This wine is a beautiful golden straw-color.

Nose

The nose is very fine, mixing floral and fruity fragrances (candied fruit) with citrus and spice aromas accompanied by perfect notes of botrytization. 

Palate

Crystalline, the palate is seduced by its elegance and richness. Pure and balanced, the palate is supported by a racy freshness and a beautiful length. The finish is lively and backed by a superb acidity.
